Claims and comparison

We use the exact model and cartridge name. We distinguish manufacturer specifications from our selection advice and do not generalise a claim from one filter to an entire brand. Calculations show their inputs, assumptions and method so readers can check or adapt the result.

We do not suggest that all UK tap water is unsafe or promise medical benefits. Where independent certification is claimed, we look for the precise product and named reduction in the certifier's listing. Product photography is not evidence of filtration performance.

Dates and corrections
